Sponsor | ericthehamster | Feb 8, 4:09pm | I thought the basic idea was good (as with all Torchwood).
Did anyone else find the last 15 minutes a bit of a confused mish-mash, including some pretty hammy acting?
I got the impression from reading previews that this was meant to be an allegory for factory farming etc. However, what's with Jack getting all dewy-eyed all of a sudden?
That said, enjoyed a lot of the one-liners ("We could feed the world" " We could release a single" - come to think of it Ianto got all the good lines). I just wish they would keep the characters consistent from episode to episode.
Gwen acted her socks off this week. |

Jack's giving everyone meaningful looks! |

Sponsor | ericthehamster | Feb 9, 12:29am | I agree entirely. By now, Jack is looking like a fickle fly-by-night (flirting madly with Gwen and looking hurt at her relationship with Rhys, at the same time as trying to get a date with Ianto), no-one seems to remember Gwen's fling with Owen (now Rhys is the best thing since sliced bread), and only one episode after losing a "true love" Tosh is trying to get off with Owen.
The whole thing makes the characterisation patchy and inconsistent.
